A College Job Turned Career
Eighteen years ago, I wrapped up my freshman year at the University of North Dakota with elaborate summer plans. However, those plans quickly fell through. Realizing I needed a job, I took my dad’s advice and applied at the local Verizon dealer, Northstar Telcom. Although I doubted my chances, I got the job. Within three months, I knew I had found something special. The work excited me, the pay was great, and the flexible hours fit perfectly with my school schedule. What started as a temporary job quickly turned into a passion that would shape my future.
How One Leader’s Dream Transformed Our Business
Everything changed when our GM, Scott, announced new ownership. Brady Hansen, the new owner, brought a vision for growth that was unlike anything I had experienced in my three years with the company. Although the transition was challenging, especially with key staff leaving, Brady’s vision of expanding beyond our single store and competing with the largest agents in the country was compelling. For the first time, I saw a future filled with opportunities, and I knew this was the path I wanted to follow.
From One Store to 68 Locations and Counting
Under Brady’s leadership, the company transformed. We rebranded as BeMobile, adopted the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework, and committed to growth. What began as a single store has now expanded to 68 locations, with plans to become a major agent in the wireless industry. Being part of this journey has been incredibly rewarding.
