Navigating a New Chapter
When I first moved back to my hometown as a single mom, I was looking for a job that aligned with my degree in Marketing and Graphic Design. I had my sights set on opportunities within my field, but fate had other plans. A friend, who was working as a Sales Partner at BeMobile, suggested I apply for the Store Leader position. Initially, I was hesitant—retail wasn’t where I envisioned my career going. While researching for other positions without success, I decided to give BeMobile a try, planning to stay until a role in my field came along.
Discovering My Passion for Community Engagement
It didn’t take long for me to realize that BeMobile offered more than I had anticipated. The opportunity to advance quickly was evident, and I was driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact while providing for my children. My passion for community engagement, honed through previous experiences like organizing a Back to School Backpack Drive, found a new outlet at BeMobile. During my initial training, I proposed the idea of a backpack drive within our organization. I’m thrilled to share that we’ve now completed our 11th annual event, a testament to how quickly a simple idea can grow and make a difference.
In my role as Store Leader, I also launched the “BeSafe” program, aimed at combating distracted driving among students. Partnering with local law enforcement, I had the opportunity to present this initiative at schools and encourage students to pledge against distracted driving. Another impactful spot was the ability to merge my love for community service with technology, whether it was helping kids get their first phone, or helping grandparents get their first smartphone so they can keep up with communication platforms for their grandkids.
Growing into a New Leader
My commitment to advancing within the company paid off when I moved into the District Leader position for MNSW. Managing seven locations brought daily challenges and immense satisfaction as I impacted both my team and our customers. One of my proudest achievements was developing our partnership with local farmers and Climate dealers. What started with a single connection grew into a broad network of support, enabling us to assist farmers from Mankato, Minnesota to Boone, Iowa.
New Challenges and Personal Growth
As BeMobile continued to grow, so did my role. I transitioned to the Regional Sales Director for the southern region, overseeing 24 locations. This role not only expanded my impact but also allowed me to explore different parts of the company. One personal highlight was planning a memorable surprise trip to San Diego for my children, turning a dream into reality, and creating cherished family memories.
Combining Passion with Purpose
The latest chapter of my journey with BeMobile is as a Sales Empowerment Director. This role focuses on driving engagement, facilitating company contests, and supporting day-to-day operations across locations. It’s a perfect fit for me, combining my enjoyment of relationship-building with my passion for helping others grow both personally and professionally.
Embracing the Unforeseen Path
Reflecting on my journey, I’m grateful I took a chance on a role I initially didn’t want. My background in Marketing and Graphic Design is still a part of my work through content development and collaborative sessions with our teams.
